Weekly Update
Hello Everybody,
Psalm 89:1 "I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make know Thy faithfulness to all generations."
Don't be shocked, it's just us. I know we haven't given you an update in a while. We got back to Mexico late Thursday evening after a 2 and a half week visit in the states. We had a good time, but it sure is good to be home.
Praise the Lord that while we were in the states we were able to be in 7 different churches. We want to thank all of you who gave the school supplies, as well as everything else. Our Suburban was sagging in the back end with all of the school stuff, food, clothes and other goodies you folks have so generously provided for us and our ministry. THANK YOU!
Friday evening, Brother Rick Toney (missionsalive1.com) and his family arrived, pulling a trailer stuffed full of things for us, for the children's home, for Margarita and Arturo and others we are able to minister to. They also brought with them Brother Jim Foster (not in the trailer), who was a missionary in Honduras for 31 years. What a blessing it's been having him and his wisdom here. And of course, we always enjoy Brother Rick and his family. We've been busy with the children's home, church services, visitation, and passing out John/Romans and tracts. It's been fun.
Camp services went great. There were 120+ children, along with many adults who were there to help or just be with their kids. There were 20 children who made Salvation decisions, praise the Lord!
Thank you also, all of you who have been praying for Arturo. He's been working every day since we've been back at least, and I believe even while we were gone. He's doing construction work, which is where his skills lie. In other related news, Brother Rick had (in his trailer) a crib for the new baby. By the way, the baby's official name is Amber Esmeralda. What an honor. I wish you could see the changes in this family, the joy that just seems to ooze out of them. What a testimony to Christ's changing power.
We have a few more prayer requests for you. We just found out that one of our friends, a man we lovingly refer to as "Crazy George", is dying of hepatitis. He's not saved and the disease seems to be in the advanced stages. Please pray for him as again we attempt to reach him with the Gospel. Also we will be doing some visitation this week, taking advantage of Brother Jim Foster and his excellent Spanish skills. Sunday evening we will be meeting at our new property under a tent, where he will be speaking. Please remember these prayer requests when you think of us (Taco Bell, Jewelry, etc.).
