Weekly Update Psalm 61:1-2 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Good Morning Everyone, After a lot of traveling over many miles, we're back home. We have been in Florida with our daughters as they get established in a new home, new jobs and new schools. Of course our oldest daughter, Mary, picked this time to come down with walking pneumonia. Please pray for her as she continues to recover. We want to thank First Baptist Church of Macclenny Florida for their hospitality and for housing us during our stay in Florida.
It sure was good to get back and see Brother Jose again. We thank God for him and his wife Marta and all they do to further the Gospel here in their home town. We are also thankful we were able to bring sixteen cases of John/Romans (we had just run out) and a couple of boxes of tracts with us. The last six months have been extremely difficult for us personally. God has allowed Satan to attack us in so many different ways. All we can do is claim the above verses and keep on keeping on. We know that this is where God has called us. We know that the work we are doing is the work He has given us. We have seen many salvation decisions during this time and we've seen God's work advance here in Mexico. And, to keep it in perspective, there have been many other blessings during this time as well. While we don't understand everything, we do know that the Bible says, "All that live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution" (2 Timothy 3:12), and while we're not perfect, we do strive to live Godly. So we're looking at this as confirmation that we are on the right track. But it's still very difficult not to get discouraged while going through the fire. So please, please pray diligently for our entire family that God will lead us in His perfect way and keep our eyes set on "the rock that is higher than I". We have another special prayer request. Amber's fifteen-year-old cousin, Chris, suffered third-degree burns on his legs in a grease fire accident. He starts skin grafts this week. Also keep his parents, Mike and Debbie Tygart, uplifted in prayer as they have to suffer through seeing their son go through this.
The kids started their home-schooling here yesterday. It feels good to get back in the routine of normal daily life again. Now when we walk around the house talking to ourselves we can say that it's not because we're crazy, or that we've lost our minds... instead, we can say we're having a parent/teachers conference.

Weekly Update Luke 12:43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Good Morning Everyone, Boy, can you think of a better way to meet the Lord than to have him catch you by surprise working hard? That's a pretty awesome verse for such a short one. For the first week this summer, we don't have company! It seems a little quiet around our house. We even had one full day off this week already, if you discount the few people that came knocking on our gate looking for help. Praise the Lord that along with work, he gave us resting instructions. Sunday was a good day for the Kingdom of God here in Mexico. In the services, at Brother Pepe's church, there were two ladies that accepted Christ as their personal Savior, Praise the Lord. After their evening service, we went with them to one of their mission works and showed the movie, "No Greater Love." We had one young man accept Christ during the invitation following the movie. God is good. Thanks to all for praying for our non-specific prayer request that we told you about last week. We had our discussion and while the opportunity was there for Satan harden hearts, and cause hurt feelings, I believe that God prevailed in these issues. Please continue to pray for the people in our church, that God will continue to work in their hearts and that they will, above everything, obey God. You can pray the same prayer for us and the rest of our fellow laborers. We have a few special requests to pass on. School supplies. Last year we were able to give away tons of notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, etc., and it was a blessing to all as these items are quite a bit more expensive here than they are in the states. We also are ordering our own school material. If anybody would like to give towards these special needs please send the money and a note to specify what you're giving towards to: The Benedicts (school project) c/o Talking Rock Road Baptist Church 1106 Talking Rock Road Branson West, MO 65737 This year we also have five children in need of school uniforms, tuition, etc. If you personally, or your church/ Sunday School/ women's group, etc., would like to "adopt" a child to provide for these needs, please let us know via. e-mail. We'll send you the child's name, some information about them and a photo, so you can pray for this child throughout the year also. The cost is approximately $200 per child for their education for the year. If you would like to give towards a child, but are not able to meet the entire need, that's fine also. Please send all monies to the above address again, with a note to specify what the money is to go to. Thanks again for all of your faithfulness. The Benedicts Co-Laborers in Christ, Mexico Division
